NHM fills BK3N with Safety Exhibitions and Competitions


The series of activities commemorating National Occupational Health and Safety Month (BK3N) at the Gosowong Gold Mine continues. After holding the opening ceremony on January 12, 2024, the activities presumed with the BK3N exhibition, which took place on January 29–30, 2024, at the Multi-Purpose Building (MPB) Gosowong.

The series of exhibition events opened with a welcome from management, represented by the Deputy Director of Operations/NHM Mine Chief Engineer, Rara Dodo Lawolo. In his speech, Rado expressed his highest appreciation to all employees who have enthusiastically prepared a series of BK3N activities since the first day. “Of course, we hope that the BK3N series is not only ceremonial but that the essence of it regarding health and safety can continue to be implemented so that Gosowong’s business can continue to run. Thank you to all parties who support the implementation of BK3N. Thank you to all departments who have prepared such beautiful, educational, and creative booths. Every year, this momentum can be a reminder that health and safety will continue to be upheld in the Gosowong Gold Mine work area,” he said.



This year’s BK3N exhibition was attended by 17 departments at the Gosowong Gold Mine. Each department competed to show off their skills in decorations and presented their respective booths. Each department then presented its performance achievements, work equipment and functions, visualization of work activities in the field, and other interesting things related to their respective departments. A first-aid competition was also held on the first day of the exhibition, and a fire extinguishing competition was held on the second day of the exhibition.

Various entertainment events also enlivened the BK3N Gosowong Exhibition. At the end of each departmental presentation session, there was a quiz with cash prizes, which was enthusiastically welcomed by the employees present through dancing to regional music – a ‘tradition’ during every employee activity at Gosowong. “The BK3N exhibition is one of those scheduled following circular letter no. 19.E/MB.07/DBT.KP/2023 through the Director of Engineering and Environment, Directorate General of Mineral and Coal, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. The exhibition is always lively from year to year, and this year the number of participants and departments participating increased compared to last year. Many departments displayed their equipment and activities and highlighted K3 aspects in these activities,” said OHS Manager, Dr. Kuncoro.

Every year the exhibition is more dynamic than the one before, and this year there were more departments and participants overall. “Many departments display their equipment and activities and highlight K3 aspects in these activities,” said OHS Manager, Dr. Kuncoro.
