As part of the 2025 National Occupational Safety and Health Month (BK3N), PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals (NHM), in collaboration with the Blood Donor Unit (UDD) of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in North Maluku Province, organized a blood donation drive in the Gosowong mining area on Monday, January 10, 2025.

The event, held from 13:00 to 20:00 WIT, was supported by five medical officers from UDD PMI North Maluku, who assisted NHM employees and business partners participating in the blood donation. Before donating, each participant underwent a medical examination to ensure they met the eligibility criteria, including a review of their health history.

During the event, the PMI UDD team successfully collected 50 blood bags, consisting of various blood types: 14 bags of type A, 10 bags of type B, 1 bag of type AB, and 25 bags of type O.

The head of the NHM Blood Donation Committee, Iwan Sutan Panduko (ERT Coordinator), stated that this activity is routinely carried out every year in observance of National K3 Month (BK3N) as a demonstration of concern for occupational health and well-being.

“We sincerely thank all the donors who participated. We hope the donated blood will be of great benefit to those in need and help strengthen the blood supply, which is essential for this humanitarian mission,” said Iwan Sutan Panduko.

Meanwhile, the Head of the PMI UDD team for North Maluku Province, Vaizal M. Mustari, expressed his appreciation for the event’s successful execution and thanked all parties involved.
