PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals (NHM) fully supports the Valveles Angelous Voice Choir, which will represent North Halmahera Regency (Halut) at the 2025 International Choir Folk Festival (NICFF). This prestigious competition will be held in Indonesia’s new capital city (IKN), East Kalimantan, from September 4–7, 2025, and will feature participants from various regions and countries.

Two send-off ceremonies were held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. The first, organized by the Halut Regency Government, took place at the Regent’s Office, with NHM represented by Christian Moloku from the Government Relations & Permitting Department. The second, hosted by the North Maluku Provincial Government, was held at the Governor’s Official Residence in Sofifi and led by Governor Sherly Tjoanda Laos and Deputy Governor Sarbin Sehe. At this provincial-level event, NHM was represented by Dodi Panudu, also from the Government Relations & Permitting Department.

NHM supported the choir’s travel by providing Balikpapan–Ternate flight tickets, helping ensure smooth logistics for the group, which ranks among the top 20 choirs in Indonesia.
“We are very enthusiastic and proud to support the extraordinary talent of North Maluku’s young generation. The Valveles Angelous Voice Choir embodies the passion, discipline, and quality of North Halmahera’s youth. We hope this support helps them perform at their best and bring honor to our region on both national and international stages,” said Denny Lesmana, General Manager of Geology, Resources, and Support, representing NHM Management. “We also hope the Valveles Angelous Voice Choir will inspire more young people in North Maluku to keep striving for excellence,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the choir’s leader, Frederik Nelson Sahetapy who also serves as Assistant I for Government Affairs of North Halmahera Regency expressed his gratitude for NHM’s support.

This assistance with airfare is highly meaningful and allows us to participate in this event with greater preparation and confidence.
