Eid al-Fitr in Gosowong: Harmony of Faith and Togetherness in the Spirit of Tolerance

The Eid al-Fitr celebration on 1 Shawwal 1447 AH was held with reverence and a deep sense of community at the Gosowong Gold Mine area on Saturday, March 21. Centered at the Al-Musafirin Mosque in Gosowong, the occasion drew enthusiastic participation from employees and business partners alike.

The Eid prayer was led by Ustadz Isran Salamat Bahruddin as imam, with the sermon delivered by Ustadz Marwan Syaban, S.Pd.I., M.Pd. In his address, Ustadz Marwan spoke on the significance of Eid al-Fitr as a moment to return to one’s purest self, strengthening faith and nurturing better relationships, both within the family and in the workplace.

Following the prayer, the celebration continued with a Halal Bi Halal gathering at the Gosowong Mess Hall. The event offered a warm and inclusive setting for employees, management, and business partners to connect. A particularly meaningful aspect of the occasion was the participation of non-Muslim employees, a testament to the spirit of tolerance and interfaith harmony that defines the Gosowong workplace.

The Al-Musafirin Mosque Board (DKM) expressed its gratitude for the steadfast support of NHM management, which has consistently backed various religious activities throughout Ramadan and into the Eid celebration. This support is seen as instrumental in fostering an environment where faith and professionalism complement one another.

All in all, the Eid al-Fitr celebration at Gosowong stood as a reflection of simplicity, gratitude, and the living values of tolerance and harmony, a reminder that people of different faiths can, and do, stand together.
