Humanitarian Dedication During Ramadan: NHM Wins Award at the iNews Media Group Cahaya Hati Awards 2026

PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals (NHM) has once again received national recognition for its commitment to humanitarian causes. At the iNews Media Group Cahaya Hati Awards 2026, held at the MNC Conference Hall in Central Jakarta on Thursday, March 12, NHM was honored for its meaningful contributions through community healthcare programs.

The event opened with a welcome address from iNews Media Group CEO Angela Tanoesoedibjo, who underscored the importance of the private sector’s role in spreading goodwill and serving as an inspiration, particularly during the sacred month of Ramadan.

NHM received the award in the “Ramadan Kindness Initiative” category, in recognition of the company’s consistent delivery of health assistance programs for residents in the North Halmahera mining area and the broader North Maluku community. Through this ongoing commitment, NHM works to provide peace of mind for community members during their worship by ensuring prompt and adequate medical support throughout the month of Ramadan.

The award was presented by MNC Radio Director Rina Ridson and received on behalf of NHM by Irwan Malaka, Head of the Sustainable Development Division at the NHM Peduli Foundation. In response to the recognition, Irwan reaffirmed the company’s long-term dedication to community well-being in the North Maluku region.

“This recognition is a great honor for the NHM Peduli Foundation. But at its core, what matters most to us is ensuring that the company’s presence is genuinely felt and directly benefits the community. We see this award as both a reminder and a motivator to keep our health programs running, so that no resident faces difficulty accessing medical care during this blessed month,” said Irwan.

The NHM Peduli Foundation’s health programs are widely regarded as one of the central pillars of the company’s corporate social responsibility efforts. Through this initiative, many residents with limited financial means have been able to access treatment, including at the specialist level.

This recognition from iNews Media Group further reinforces NHM’s standing not merely as a mining company, but as a strategic partner in welfare development and humanitarian progress across eastern Indonesia.
