For a mining company, nothing is more important than prioritizing the health and safety of all individuals involved in the company’s operational activities. PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals (NHM) upholds this principle and recognizes that our employees are the most valuable asset to the company.

NHM has developed an Occupational Health and Safety Management System in accordance with the Indonesian Government’s regulations on General Mining Occupational Safety and Health. We continually implement various training programs and activities to further enhance sustainable safety practices.

Additionally, NHM provides a range of health programs and facilities within the work area. These include regular medical checkups, a health clinic, a dedicated PCR laboratory, and sports facilities. Alongside these facilities, we conduct educational campaigns to promote safe and healthy ways of working and living.

The chief mining engineering (KTT) of NHM consistently emphasizes to all employees and work partners that Occupational Health & Safety is the top priority when conducting any activities in the Gosowong Gold Mine operations in North Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province.

To ensure the smooth operation of occupational health and safety, the company has established clear and firm rules applicable to all workers, including those from partner companies and visitors to the Gosowong Gold Mine. These rules also extend to employees working outside the Gosowong site.

The company recognizes that productivity should always be accompanied by the well-being and safety of its employees. To mitigate the potential risks that may lead to work accidents, the company actively conducts trainings followed by thorough field monitoring. In this regard, the commitment of every work division leader plays a vital role.
